Depression after eating

Hello!

I have a problem that no one has been able to solve so far. I eat something, and after about 15-30 minutes, I experience a total energy crash and my physical performance dramatically decreases. What's even worse is that I then get depressed. My self-esteem plummets. What was a good day 30 minutes ago is now a bad one. It's like a switch has been flipped. I tolerate foods like fish and raw vegetables better than foods like crispbread and cream cheese.

The drop in energy can be explained by the fact that the body needs a lot of blood in the abdominal area for digestion, which then is lacking in the brain. Especially after rich meals, it is often the case that one feels very tired afterwards.

Unfortunately, you have not written much about it. For example, you have not mentioned what has been investigated, whether intolerances (lactose, fructose, sorbitol, gluten, wheat) have been ruled out. These can also be associated with fatigue.

Eating cannot have a direct effect on the psyche so quickly. Therefore, the question arises whether your mood drop is related to fatigue (losing your momentum), or whether it has a psychosomatic background. For example, due to feelings of guilt (for whatever reason... childhood, overweight, other reasons, this needs to be determined by a psychotherapist).

Unfortunately, you also have not mentioned how often such a change occurs and what has been considered so far.
