Fall from the motorbike Abrasions and open wounds
Hello,
I am currently in Vietnam. Today, I fell off my motorbike. I have open wounds on my knee and elbow, as well as abrasions. I was treated by a pharmacist who cleaned the wounds and treated them with iodine ointment. I am okay for the most part, but it burns quite a bit. Now I am not sure how to properly treat the wounds. I am staying in accommodation right by the beach, and we had booked a boat tour to an island for snorkeling tomorrow. My question is, can I go snorkeling and expose myself to the sea water and sun? I do not have a waterproof bandage. My friends said I shouldn't worry, as sea water is good for wounds. What should I do? Thank you for your help. Regards, Pia Wendrich.
