Chronic cough
I had a severe bronchitis in March that lasted for over 2 months. Unfortunately, during this time I continued to smoke my electronic cigarette, which of course slowed down the healing process. Eventually it got better, but since then I have been experiencing strong, dry coughs almost daily. Every time I take a puff from my electronic cigarette, I have to cough harshly. Sometimes it feels like there is phlegm deep down, but most of the time it is dry. In the past few weeks, it has gotten worse. My family doctor listened to my lungs and said they are clear, and I also did a lung function test which showed great results. I also have a peak flow meter which consistently shows the same value with each use. I also suffer from an anxiety disorder, so the coughing makes me very nervous and sometimes I don't know if I am causing it myself or if it is something physical. I don't cough at night and when I don't smoke, I cough much less. Other than that, I have no other complaints and I have no issues with coughing during physical activity.
