period very weak

Hello, I am 33 years old, I have been taking the contraceptive pill Lamuna 20 for 15 years and have had normal bleeding for years, but usually only need 1 pad per day. During my last period from 2.1. - 6.1., on the morning of the 6.1. there was only a light brownish coloring, which disappeared by the evening. And then there was only a trace of a slightly gelatinous mucus on the toilet paper. What could this be?

Dr. med. Frauke Gehring

Good day,

If you have taken the pill reliably, pregnancy is very unlikely. Therefore, one must assume a hormonal disorder, which can be caused temporarily, for example, by stress, but can also be a sign of an illness. That's why please see your gynecologist if the next period is again so weak.

Sincerely, Dr. Höllering
