Missing period
Dear Sir or Madam,
My daughter is 13 3/4 years old, 160.5 cm tall and weighs 41.7 kg. In January 2018, two years ago, she got her first period. It came 4 times at relatively long intervals (6-8 weeks). Then lastly in November 2018. There was then a break until July 2019 and since then she has not had her period again. During this time we visited the gynecologist twice and in the ultrasound everything was and is inconspicuous. The pediatrician took a precautionary hormone status during the J1 examination. It turned out that the DHEAS is elevated at 366 (normal up to 280) and the Androstandiol Glucuronide at 5.50 (normal up to 4.03). Thyroid values, prolactin, 17-hydroxyprogesterone, progesterone all within normal range. Could the absence of the period be related to weight and possibly psyche (child very sensitive) or how do you assess the findings?
Thank you for your efforts.
