Hello, I am 33 years old and have been experiencing normal periods for years, but usually only need one pad a day. During my last period from January 2nd to January 6th, on the morning of the 6th I only had a light brownish discharge, which disappeared by the evening. What could this be?

There are several possible causes. The simplest would be a pregnancy, as sometimes instead of a period there may be spotting. If this is not the case, one must consider a hormonal disorder. This can be triggered by stress, but of course also by illnesses of the ovaries. In this respect, a gynecological examination is advisable.
