I have had my IUD for contraception since 04/2010 and have not been to the gynecologist since then. Now my husband is pressuring me to go before I get pregnant again, as we both do not want any more children. The packaging of the IUD says it is effective until 31.03.2017. Can I wait a little longer or does it need to be taken care of immediately? Thank you in advance.

If the effectiveness of the spiral is indicated until 2017, then the effectiveness is guaranteed until then. However, a visit to the doctor is urgently needed because annual cancer screening is highly recommended. No woman should have to die from cervical cancer anymore!
I would like to question why contraception has suddenly become so important to your husband.
