muscle building

I know that muscles grow through microtraumas. These microtraumas are also responsible for muscle soreness. My question now is whether muscles can grow without muscle soreness. If so, maybe it is because the number of microtraumas is so low that we do not feel the muscle soreness.

Good evening,

Of course, there is also muscle growth without muscle soreness.

In every muscle, there are glycogen stores. Glycogen is stored glucose. During training, the glucose is consumed and then the store is replenished with more glycogen than before, so that there is enough glycogen for the next time. Muscles with a lot of glycogen are larger (thicker) than muscles with little glycogen. The number of muscle cells always remains the same. Muscle growth therefore depends on training and nutrition.
