Irritation of the tendons in the knee
I have had a tendon irritation in my left knee for 2 months; probably caused by improper loading due to a strain in my right leg.
An MRI was performed with the following diagnosis:
Inflammation of the pes anserinus with a strong emphasis on the semimembranosus tendon with inflammatory swelling at the attachment site- inflammatory involvement of the posteromedial joint capsule. Insertional tendinitis of the patellar tendon with irritation of the pre- and infrapatellar bursa. Mild mucoid degeneration of the IM-HH with discr., deg. horizontal tear at the base, which does not reach the surface and underside.
The radiologist recommends absolute immobilization, while the treating doctor recommends light pain-free movement and an exercise to strengthen the affected tendons 3 times a day, in addition to daily "Orthomol Tendo". So far, there has been no improvement! Running remains impossible! Walking does not cause any pain!
