Smoking and the morning-after pill

Good evening!
I have a question. I took the morning-after pill 6 hours ago. I usually use condoms for contraception, and I have been doing so for years. However, I am a smoker. My question is, when can I start smoking again after taking the morning-after pill?
Hello,
Hormones significantly increase the risk of thrombosis, so I advise against smoking in the next week.
However, the rumor that smoking reduces the effectiveness of the morning-after pill is not true.
Perhaps this situation is still a good opportunity to quit nicotine altogether.
I wish you all the best!
Sincerely, Dr. Höllering
