Cyst

Good evening!
I have a question, the following: A cyst was diagnosed in me that is 4 by 5 centimeters in size. Since I often suffer from cysts, I didn't think much of it, then I took a homeopathic remedy (which didn't help). However, when I got spotting, I went back to the doctor and was told that the cyst is inconspicuous but now 7 by 5 centimeters in size. Lastly, because I experienced cramps, I went to the emergency service and that's when it started - so much so that the cyst is now smaller, about 5 centimeters, but there is still some fluid in my stomach and I may bleed internally!!! And there was shouting, so I left, it was around 11 pm, by now something should have happened, right? I have to say, it wasn't a gynecologist but an internist, now I'm feeling unsure??? Thank you.

Good evening, I am happy to help you further.

Please do not worry, during this time it would have been worse for you if you were internally bleeding. But it doesn't seem to be the case.

There is normally between 50-100ml of fluid in the abdominal cavity (called serous fluid). This prevents the intestines and other abdominal organs from sticking together.

The different measurements of the cyst are likely due to different examiners, which can make a difference of 2-3cm. Please do not worry. And for abdominal cramps, for which no cause was found in you, heat is soothing for the muscles and relaxing.

Do you have any questions about this? I am happy to help you further.
Take care and get well soon!

Kind regards,

Dr. K. Hamann
