Muscle cramps in MS between the ribs?!

I have had Multiple Sclerosis for 16 years. Recently, when I tense my abdominal muscles, I experience short muscle cramps in the front area between the 8-12 rib or below the ribs. It must be the respiratory muscles. It feels like the ribs are being pushed inwards. The short cramps immediately disappear when I relax and take deep breaths. The symptoms can occur on the right, left, below the ribs, or on both sides.
Good day,
Unfortunately, you have not formulated a question. Cramps are caused by incorrect loading of the muscles, and a problem with the thoracic spine could be the cause. Therefore, I would recommend consulting an orthopedic doctor first. It could also be a magnesium deficiency, especially in the current humidity, so it is worth trying 300 mg of magnesium daily as long as this weather continues. These cramps are atypical for MS. I would recommend looking for potassium and calcium deficiencies if magnesium does not improve the situation.
All the best!
Warm regards, Dr. Höllering
