combination of Elontril and trimipramine

I have been taking trimipramine for 4 weeks now. 100mg in the morning and 100mg in the evening. Apart from sleeping well, I do not notice any antidepressant effect. Can I combine 150mg of Elontril in the morning with trimipramine in the evening?

The onset of an antidepressant effect can take 3-6 weeks before you feel any difference. The fact that you are already sleeping well is a good sign. Please have a little more patience.
I would not recommend combining it with Elontril just yet, please wait another 2 weeks. It may also be possible to adjust the dosage of Trimipramine. However, this should be done by your local neurologist, who has already prescribed it.
