Elevated bilirubin

Hello,
the bilirubin in my blood is elevated at 1.36, one week before it was 1.40. All other values such as GGT, AP, ALT, AST are within normal range. Lipase, CRP are also normal. Should I be worried that it could be the pancreas or the liver? Or could this be Gilbert's syndrome?
Best regards.

Dr. med. Frauke Gehring

Good day,

An isolated increase in bilirubin levels actually suggests more of a M Meulengracht. Why not ask in the family, maybe someone else has it too.

Both the liver and pancreas are reacting to the increase in values. However, it would still be a good idea to have an ultrasound done to check the bile ducts. There might still be some gallstones in there from time to time.

Warm regards, Dr. Gehring
