The embryo does not develop.

Hello.
I was told that I am 6 weeks pregnant, but the embryo is still very small. The doctor could not detect any heartbeats either. He suspects that the embryo is not developing further and will probably pass naturally. I am supposed to come back next week to check if there is any progress. If it turns out that the embryo is not developing, is it likely that the body will "regulate" itself? Or are there medications that can help in this situation?
Thank you in advance!
Good morning
Until the 12th week, the so-called all-or-nothing law applies, which means that an embryo that is not okay does not continue to develop. This may sound harsh at first, but it is made by nature.
Since no heartbeats were visible yet, it is also possible that the pregnancy did not occur at the expected time, so a check-up will be done in a week. If still nothing is visible, then it is called a missed miscarriage. This is usually ended by surgery (an outpatient curettage). If you are feeling well and not experiencing any pain or fever, you can also wait for the natural course - it would then be like a heavier period and you should not use tampons. After the bleeding, the gynecologist must use an ultrasound to check if the uterus is completely empty.
First wait for the ultrasound next week, maybe everything is still fine.
You do not need to take any medication or homeopathic remedies, only a folic acid supplement.
I wish you the best of luck and a positive outcome!
