Fertility treatment 1.ICSI treatment

Good day,

I am currently in my 1st ICSI treatment cycle PU+ 9 Transfer +6 and I am 32 years old. The fertility clinic prescribed me 2 Utrogest three times a day, which I have been taking regularly since the transfer.

I had the long protocol downregulation with Decapeptyl (in the previous cycle) and stimulation with Gonal starting from day 3 of the cycle.

Today I had a very small amount of brownish discharge, can you tell me if this is the beginning of my period (cycle length 27-29 days). I have been experiencing menstrual-like cramps for a few days and my breasts have become very sensitive.

I am undergoing fertility treatment due to a history of missed abortion and ectopic pregnancy, both of my fallopian tubes are blocked.

Thank you for your response.

Good day, I am happy to answer your question.
The breast tenderness and pulling in the lower abdomen should be considered as a side effect of the hormone administration and can also indicate a successful transfer. The brownish discharge is spotting, which you should have checked if it continues (even on weekends at a gynecological emergency department, as it could sometimes be due to an infection that needs to be ruled out!). It is important to continue taking Utrogest. From Transfer Plus 14, a gestational sac can already be seen on ultrasound.
I wish you the best of luck.
