Dear Dr. Schaaf,
I have another question. I had a urinary tract infection for which I received antibiotics and then experienced burning/pain in my vagina. You mentioned that it was a yeast infection. I then got my period, which I still have on day 5. Since yesterday, I have been feeling some pulling/burning in my lower abdomen. What could this be? Or what could it be related to?
I can only guess what could be the issue, it would be better for you to have a gynecologist or possibly a urologist take a look at you.
Burning/pulling in the lower abdomen could either come from your period or it could be a uterine infection. This can be determined by the gynecologist.
If it still turns out to be a yeast infection, there would normally also be a white coating, which often smells unpleasant. A yeast infection can also cause lower abdominal pain.
What does your gynecologist say about your symptoms?
Best regards,
Dr. Schaaf
