Hello, I am taking Desofemine 20. I have taken it for a longer period once, and a shorter period the next time. Afterwards, I experienced slight chest pain/tightness, also under the arm. It has been a while now, could this be related to the pill? Greetings.
Good morning,
Please excuse the late reply.
Yes, breast tenderness can be caused by the pill, as the ethinylestradiol contained in it can cause the body to retain more water, which can be noticeable in the sensitive glandular tissue of the breast. However, this only applies to a diffuse feeling of tension in both breasts. If you feel pressure or tension only in one breast, the cause should be investigated! It is also important that no enlarged lymph nodes are palpable in the armpit.
Please speak to your gynecologist/doctor in any case, perhaps you may tolerate a different medication better.
Warm regards, Dr. Gehring
