Skin rash better still inquire

Hello again Mrs. Gehring, I have an update on my rash and would like to hear your final opinion once again.
I believe it was a reaction to the antibiotic - fortunately, the rash has significantly improved. There are no more distinct redness, everything is still a bit shady, in some areas you can still see traces of what was once there (a bit like garlands), but I am glad that the blooming redness is finally over.
I did not end up using Cetirizine, as it improved at the crucial moment.
However, I still notice a slight itching in some areas, especially at night, and in some parts, there is a bit more redness again.
My question is, does all of this seem like a normal course of healing, and is it all part of the recovery process?
Do you think I can now finally put my worries (likely mostly unfounded and probably exaggerated with Necrolysis) aside? I would consider getting an allergy test in 1-2 months, as from what I have read, it could also just be a "pseudo-allergy" to antibiotics...?
Thank you once again and greetings.

Hello again,

It's a pity that you still haven't overcome your irrational fear! Since everything is regressing, it seems that my initial suspicion was correct. The healing process is not always straightforward, and itching may occur at times.

Of course, you can let go of the fear of necrolysis, as I have mentioned to you several times!

An allergy test is important because you need to know if you are allergic to an antibiotic.

Best regards, Dr. Gehring
