Ask a doctor on the topic of General medicine

Ask for body temperature.

Hello again Mrs. Gehring, unfortunately another question...
Now back to yesterday's topic, you are probably right again and I should finally calm down from my thoughts, but little things still bring me back to anxiety.
Now 2 questions - After tension while playing computer games with high concentration - the areas on my upper arms are still slightly red due to the allergy, later it is completely gone again or the allergy is generally over, is it simply due to circulation that makes these areas slightly visible again?
Also, I took 3 temperature measurements in the afternoon/evening, it was always 37.7 (rectal!) now I read on some pages that temperatures up to 38 in the evening are even normal, on some other pages it says that an elevated body temperature would indicate a disease, of course I have Lupus but because of the occasionally warm head I thought I would measure it - now my thoughts are circling again that there might be something worse behind it (Leukemia??) Hopefully you think this is nonsense and exaggerated...
Thank you and best regards

Dr. med. Frauke Gehring

Good evening,

Unfortunately, it seems to be getting worse rather than better...

The redness probably always occurs and you haven't noticed it before. In any case, they have no medical value.

A rectal temperature of up to 38 degrees in the evening is normal, and I strongly advise against measuring it repeatedly. I would suggest spending more time outdoors and less time sitting at the computer, so you won't overheat and also won't be able to Google symptoms...

These are not signs of leukemia!

Best regards, Dr. Gehring
