Question about the recovered rash

Hello again Mrs. Gehring, I'm starting to feel a bit silly, but my fears come and go. I just wonder why the rash, although mostly healed and relatively quickly, still leaves traces. The previously affected areas are peeling a little bit, and in certain pressure or good circulation, a few spots become visible again. The skin seems dry, is that normal for several weeks?

Now my fear suddenly turns towards Mycosis Fungoides, as it seems to also progress in a relapsing and scaly manner. Of course, I know I could be exaggerating once again, but how likely is that? How common is it, and are the chances of healing good in this early stage?

Greetings

Dr. med. Frauke Gehring

Hello,

I am a doctor for internal and general medicine, not a dermatologist, so please do not pin me down on dermatological topics!

However, it is clear that Mycosis fungoides does indeed cause red, scaly eczema and is not just a small rash that flakes off after healing (like with chickenpox). You come up with ideas that no one else does! The likelihood of suffering from this disease is about 1 in 200,000, and almost everyone has experienced redness and flaking at some point. This is not proportional at all!

Sincerely, Dr. Gehring
