Irritable bowel syndrome?
Certainly I cannot expect a diagnosis here, but maybe some advice. I apologize for the detailed explanations, but I am currently feeling somewhat desperate because no one seems to understand.
Since I was 12, I have been constantly struggling with constipation and colic. I only go to the bathroom every 5 - 9 days. Occasionally, it works a little in between.
The interesting thing is that at some point after the 5-9 days, it starts ACUTELY. NO laxatives. I have the urge to have a bowel movement and I have to "run". The stool starts out normal in consistency (no pain) and then becomes more mushy and soft until it is almost watery at the end. It feels like waves of contractions. The urge comes, lasts about 30 seconds. The pain is terrible. Not proper stomach cramps, rather in the buttocks/pelvic area. But not directly at the anal opening, so no hemorrhoid pain! more like the entire buttocks/pelvic area/stomach. After the stool has passed, there is a few seconds of break until the next painful wave. Then I sit on the toilet for 30-60 minutes until it stops. Usually 1-2 more times afterward. Sometimes there are flatulence during. A feeling of annihilation during. Everything around me becomes unimportant, I just want it to stop.
No visible blood in the stool. But yellowish mucus. My primary care physician always said "Irritable Bowel Syndrome", he tested all possible inflammation values but found nothing. He said that Crohn's disease or colitis does not match my symptoms and would have gotten worse after all these years. However, it is always constantly bad. That's why no colonoscopy yet. Due to such attacks, I have: almost missed my flight, arrived late to work, cannot keep appointments, etc. I am really glad when something like this happens on a weekend.
After the "colic", as I call it, I am very weakened in terms of circulation. The colic is only over when the intestines are empty. It takes 2-3 hours and then I usually feel as if nothing had happened. Until it all starts again after 5-7 days. These colic are usually preceded by flatulence a day before and sometimes I also burp afterward.
Slight nausea before, during, and after.
An allergy test on the skin showed that I react to EVERYTHING, whether it's wheat, rye, barley, strawberries, kiwi, lemon, cherries, banana, eggs, milk, nuts, casein... etc.
But I do not notice anything when I consume these foods. Also, - what should I eat then?
Coeliac disease was ruled out by blood test, as was lactose intolerance.
I did an IgE protein test myself with a test for home, which was negative.
I thought about doing a food intolerance test Immun Pro or something similar, do you know it? Would you recommend it?
All possible experiments with magnesium (initially could go to the bathroom more often, but it was just as painful and associated with worse flatulence) and various herbal tablets have not helped.
I am 1.68 meters tall and weigh 60 kg, so weight is constant
I am 30 years old.
Our first artificial insemination starts in 2 weeks, and I wonder to what extent these colics affect implantation and the process in general. ???
The only medications I take every day are Symbicort (but not since I was 12, since I was 17), and Salbutamol, which I have had for a long time since I was little due to allergic asthma (pollen, dust, grass, pollen, etc.).
I once had an abdominal ultrasound and only meteorism was detected, a lot of air in the intestines.
Or should I simply eat NOTHING? And add one food at a time? Only rice or potatoes? Vegetables, etc.?
Perhaps the solution is actually not far off and quite simple, but I just haven't figured it out yet.
I would be very grateful for any advice.
