Circulatory problems when getting up

Hello,
I am a 36-year-old male with no previous illnesses. I am 198cm tall and weigh 115kg. My blood pressure averages at 130:80. I had a cardiological examination about 3 years ago with no findings.
Now to the question:
Sporadically, when I lie on the sofa for a long time and then get up to go to bed, I experience the following circulatory complaints:
Feeling of panic
Shortness of breath
Weakness
This picture lasts for seconds to 2 minutes and then normalizes. Am I correct in assuming that this is an effect caused by the change in position?

Dr. med. Frauke Gehring

Good day,

This cannot be said like that! Even if you carry some excess weight, such a reaction would be unusually strong. Since it is movement-dependent, it cannot have psychological causes. Therefore, I would recommend presenting yourself to your family doctor again, because even with a sedentary lifestyle, a simple change in position should not provoke such a reaction.

I suggest a blood test and a stress ECG.

Best regards, Dr. Gehring
