Apron of fat

Hello,

I am 19 years old. I have lost almost 30 kg with the Metabolic Balance diet. Unfortunately, I now have a large apron of fat, a hollow back due to the hanging belly, high blood pressure, and mild depression due to being overweight. After a serious accident, I now have osteoarthritis in my ankle. Therefore, I can hardly do any exercise to get rid of the belly. Height 1.79 m. Previously: 118 kg, now about 1 year later 88 kg.

I wanted to ask if you can roughly estimate whether my health insurance will cover the removal of the apron of fat or not.

Dear questioner,

this cannot be answered in a general way, you should get a certificate from the doctor stating that you are suffering mentally under the apron of the belly. Even if there are recurring inflammations due to the excess skin, that can be a reason. Ultimately, however, it is up to the discretion of the health insurance company. I would recommend speaking to them in person.
