Ask a doctor on the topic of Orthopedics

Cervical spine suspicion of disc herniation.

Hello,

Today an MRI of my cervical spine was taken. Could you please take a look at the photos? I would like to know if it could be a herniated disc.
Unfortunately, my appointment with my orthopedist is in 3 weeks :-(

Thank you in advance.

Dr. med. Christian Theiß

Good morning,
I am a neurosurgeon and I am happy to help you.

On your cervical spine MRI images, there is a slight straightening of the cervical spine, which indicates muscular tension. There is no evidence of a herniated disc or disc bulge with compression of neural structures.
Best regards and take care.
