Therapy against inflammation in Hoffa's fat pad?
Good day,
What is the best approach for an irritated/inflamed Hoffa's fat pad in the knee?
Background:
3.5 months ago, a cyclops was arthroscopically removed from the right knee. This was a result of an anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction in 2006. Up until the issues caused by the cyclops, I had no problems with the knee.
Since the removal of the cyclops, I have been experiencing pain in the inner area of the knee, even when walking normally. The fat pad was reported as normal in the MRI findings before the removal of the cyclops. It is worth noting that I have never experienced pain in that area of the knee before. Additionally, I am experiencing very difficult to localize and diffuse pain throughout the entire knee area, which I have never experienced before.
The treating doctor gave me an injection into the fat pad, but did not provide any further information.
I would like to be able to walk without pain as soon as possible, but even more so, I would like to resume my running and hiking activities.
Thank you for your advice.
Best regards
