Constant neck pain associated with headaches and mild dizziness.

Hello, I have a question. For months, I have been struggling with neck pain accompanied by headaches. I went to a specialist (http://www.schmerzpraxis-golla.de) who "cracked" me several times. After that, I felt better. But now it's coming back. I also have occasional dizziness. In May 2015, an MRI of my head was done, and everything was fine. Could it be that I have the wrong mattress/bed frame?

What can you recommend to me?

Dr. med. Christian Theiß

Hello, I am a neurosurgeon and I am happy to help you. An unfavorable bed and pillow are indeed common reasons for neck complaints. Due to the incorrect position, tension in the neck muscles can occur up to the muscle attachments at the back of the head. This secondary leads to a steep position/blockade of the cervical vertebrae, which can naturally cause severe pain. Best regards and all the best.
