heart attack

I turned 60 in December and since then my blood pressure has been acting up. It used to be around 120/80 as measured by the doctor. Recently, at my gynecologist's office, it was 180/90 and I was quite shocked. I have recently been examined, blood, urine, and ultrasound are all okay. Do I still need to worry about a heart attack? My blood pressure fluctuates a lot. Thank you in advance for your message. Best regards.
Dear inquirer,
You should not be worried now. It is important to monitor your blood pressure values and to have a 24-hour blood pressure measurement check. Untreated high blood pressure is just one of the risk factors for the development of coronary heart disease. If you have other risk factors such as overweight, smoking, lack of physical activity, high blood lipids, or sleep apnea, the risk may increase. Your family doctor will surely advise you on the next steps.
