High blood pressure

I am 61 years old and female. A few months ago, I was diagnosed with high blood pressure. I was prescribed Ramipril, but unfortunately, I could not tolerate it as it gave me a strong cough. For the past two weeks, I have been taking Atacand 8mg, one in the morning. Initially, my blood pressure was 135/85, but for the past two days, it has been as high as 150/95, 165/85, or 170/90. Now I am naturally worried. When I saw my doctor on Monday, my blood pressure was 150/95. However, she advised against taking any additional medication. Should I be concerned? Additionally, I have to constantly go to the toilet. I have no other problems, just fear. Thank you in advance for your message.

the measured blood pressure values are snapshots. To clarify whether further medication needs to be taken or a new adjustment is necessary, a 24-hour blood pressure measurement is best. The values you measured are not yet concerning. However, please speak again with your primary care physician about the 24-hour blood pressure measurement and possible adjustment of the therapy.
