Further question to Dr. Thorben C. Müller regarding the findings of the thoracic CT scan.

Hello Mr. Torben C. Müller,

Thank you for the detailed response.

I have a few more questions regarding this. The thoracic findings are now 3 months old. 4 doctors, including the radiologist, 2 internists, and a pulmonologist, did not mention anything to me after reviewing the findings. Through self-research, I now have to read this here. Do you have an explanation for this?

Is this thymoma issue worrisome? Especially concerning the accompanying autoimmune diseases, I am concerned. Two weeks ago, I had a comprehensive blood test done, including all liver values, everything was within the normal range, including LDH, which was slightly elevated for me before, 273 with an upper limit of 248, now it is 145 with a 250 upper limit. A fatty liver was diagnosed in a gastroscopy 2 months ago, hepatitis and diabetes were also ruled out as part of the blood test. Do you still see a connection, especially since you mentioned liver cirrhosis as an example? An abdominal MRI a month ago was also unremarkable except for two small cysts on the right kidney, the alleged fatty liver was not mentioned, even though the gastroscopy and MRI were done in the same hospital.

How is such an autoimmune disease that is associated with a thymoma, even if benign, diagnosed?

Since I have done some reading on Google and cancer seems to be the conclusion of everything one reads, and my uncle recently passed away from stomach cancer, I am somewhat hypochondriacal. All doctors say I suffer from hypochondria.

Now two more questions, what other examinations, especially in terms of imaging, would you suggest? Are there any blood tests that could be helpful? Most importantly, what is the prognosis if the thymoma were malignant?

My last question regarding the CT findings, although I am a non-smoker, always have been, male, and 34 years old, I had passive smoke exposure in discos on weekends until the legal smoking ban. Can lung cancer, especially small cell carcinoma, be ruled out based on the findings? One also reads about Lambert-Eaton syndrome, which is also associated with muscle weakness and similar symptoms, which ultimately worries me the most. How do you see this?

Best regards
