Ask a doctor on the topic of General medicine

Question

Hello, yesterday a strong wave knocked me over in the sea, I fell on small stones and got abrasions on my hand. Afterwards, I felt a bit dizzy and nauseous for a moment but then it went away. I don't have any headaches. I just feel a bit of pressure on my skull or the back of my head. Is that normal? I hope it's nothing serious. Best regards

Dr. med. Frauke Gehring

Hello,

It is normal for your head to feel a bit fuzzy after a fall. It is also quite common to feel a bit shaken up.

Of course, this is not something to worry about, especially since you did not experience any serious symptoms such as vomiting, vision problems, or loss of consciousness. Enjoy your vacation without any worries.

Best regards,
Dr. Gehring
