Little urine, no urge to go to the toilet.

Hello, I am afraid that I might have kidney failure or already have it. For the past 4 days, I have been urinating very little and do not feel the urge to go. About a week ago, my doctor took a blood sample and told me to drink a lot of water for my kidney. Now I am urinating so little.
Good evening,
If the doctor has taken blood, he will have checked the kidney value creatinine. If it was only slightly elevated, which I assume (otherwise he would have sent you to a specialist), there is no need to fear kidney failure. This develops slowly and always with a phase in which you urinate a lot; significantly more than you drink. Only then comes the phase in which you excrete little.
You are only missing the urge to urinate, this has nothing to do with kidney failure. Perhaps you are sweating out a lot of fluid, resulting in little urine being produced.
Sincerely, Dr. Höllering
