Laser treatment for birthmarks

I had some moles lasered off under my armpits and on my neck. They were protruding and lumpy. Now I have read that laser treatment is not good. I am so annoyed. Is it still possible to notice if something should degenerate at those spots afterwards, or can the spots be cut and examined afterwards?

Good evening,

Thank you for reaching out to us. I assume you have seen a dermatologist who has examined the spots previously, so there is no need to cut anything out for further examination. It is true that future changes may not be easily detectable, but if any changes do occur, they can still be clarified by early removal and examination to determine what it is.

So, no need to worry. Just stay vigilant and in case of doubt, it's better to see a dermatologist early rather than late.

All the best,
Dr. Schaaf
