Itchy rash in the groin area

Hello,
For about 2 weeks, I have had an itchy rash in the groin area, which extends from the anus to the inside of the thigh, where it is particularly strong. There are partly red pustules, otherwise the affected areas are red. Attempts to treat it with a healing ointment or zinc ointment and local antibiotic have not shown any effect. Since I currently have limited access to medical care abroad, I am asking for help or treatment suggestions here.
Hello back,
In such cases, it is usually a fungal infection.
You can probably get an over-the-counter cream for fungi at the pharmacy.
The corresponding active ingredients are for example Clotrimazole, Miconazole, Terbinafine or Nystatin.
Since fungi love moisture, it makes sense to deprive them of this environment. So, try to keep the areas as dry as possible, dry them well after showering or even blow dry them if necessary. Powder is usually not helpful, but cotton insoles, panty liners or sanitary pads can be helpful if you tend to sweat in those areas.
Does this help you or would you like to ask more questions?
