Treatment of urinary tract infection

Unfortunately, I am not in Germany, so I am self-treating.
White discharge from the urethra, CotrimForte 2x1 Tab., no improvement after 3 days, so switched to Ciprofloxacin 500 2x1 Tab., symptoms subsided on the 2nd day, discontinued after the 10th day of treatment with Cipro. 2 days later, discharge reappeared. How, or with what, should I treat it?
Hello,
if not in the Sahara where there are no doctors, visit and have a swab taken so that the pathogen can be identified. Since standard therapy has failed twice, it is absolutely necessary.
Question male? Could gonorrhea be a possibility? (Therapy of choice would then be high-dose penicillin)
Question female? Then protozoan pathogens could also be the cause, in which case Clont/Metronidazole would be indicated.
But medical advice, if possible have discharge examined.
Best regards, R. Berg
