Breathing problem

Hello, I hope you can help me.

I find it hard to describe, but I have noticed that in the last 3 months, I have woken up about 3-4 times from a "loud snoring" that momentarily blocks my breathing. I also experienced this while out for a walk twice, as if I briefly had something blocking my airways, it clicks once and then I continue to breathe in. It's hard to describe and I am worried about what it could be. Should I see a doctor immediately or can I wait 6 weeks (when I will be back in Germany)?

Best regards.

Dear questioner, there may be a sleep-related breathing disorder present. This is primarily not dangerous, but in the long term poses a risk of cardiovascular diseases. In my opinion, you should have an examination within 6 weeks, as far as I can assess from a distance. You should consult with an ENT doctor with expertise in sleep medicine. Regards, Welsch
