Nerve irritation after St. John's Wort

My partner is 67 years old and took a prescription St. John's Wort medication 5 weeks ago. Unfortunately, she exposed herself to the sun afterwards and has been experiencing tingling, itching, and pain since then. It has not improved after 6 weeks. The doctors advise discontinuing the medication, which she has done immediately.
Her neurologist also has no more ideas. Cortisone, antihistamines have not helped.
We urgently need a special clinic or an expert who is familiar with this issue. Can you give us advice on who we can turn to?
Hello!
Please explain the situation to me in more detail.
Was your partner's skin changed? Sunburn, rash, or something similar? Is there currently any change in the skin noticeable? I ask this because sometimes light sensitivity that occurs with St. John's Wort typically just leads to sunburn more easily. What you describe doesn't really fit with that. Furthermore, this is an important criterion, because if the skin itself is changed, a dermatologist would be the next point of contact.
Has your partner taken any other medications? Possibly new ones as well? St. John's Wort was probably used to treat a mild depression, is that correct? Is the depression accompanied by other symptoms? What were the statements of the colleagues who have treated the lady so far?
I would appreciate a response (free of charge for you) to be able to assess the situation better. I will get back to you promptly afterwards.
