Throbbing in the left ear canal when blinking.
When blinking (either reflexively or consciously), I have been feeling a slight pressure, a slight buzzing in my left ear for a while now. Depending on the strength of the reflexive blink, the facial muscles in the eye area up to the cheekbones also contract. My blood magnesium levels are around 1.5 - 1.7 mmol/l. I weigh 85 kg, am 181 cm tall, male, 35 years old.
The trigger for me was the medication Venlafaxine a long time ago, the more I took of it, the stronger the sensation became. I haven't taken the medication for years now. According to the neurologist, it would be a kind of "tic", according to the advice of the general practitioner, I took high doses of magnesium for a longer period of time. There was no improvement. But it also doesn't go away.
When I actively squint my right eye, everything feels normal. Both in the face and in the right ear. Now, when I squint my left eye, there is buzzing in the left ear, regardless of whether the squinting is slight or strong. However, my hearing is completely normal without any restrictions.
