Quetiapine 25mg as needed

Hello,
my doctor prescribed Quetiapine 25mg for me, as I wanted a medication that I could take as needed, in case I have trouble falling asleep again due to the internal pressure to sleep. My regular medication for several years has been sertraline 100mg and Buspirone 3 times a day for depression and generalized anxiety disorder. Now I am skeptical if Seroquel really works as needed and only at 25mg?

Sleep disorders are really not the main area of expertise for Seroquel, and it can even exacerbate them, for example through tormenting nightmares or inner restlessness. That is why the dose of 25 mg should not be exceeded.
Your doctor must have had a reason for prescribing it though, so please discuss your questions with him. I never use the medication as needed.
