Taking antibiotics

Dear Sir or Madam,

I have a question regarding antibiotic therapy: My dentist has prescribed me two different antibiotics. Each package contained 20 tablets. He told me to take 3 tablets of each daily, for 5 days. This means that I should stop after 15 tablets. Today is the fifteenth day. However, it is usually recommended to finish the entire course of antibiotics. I am not necessarily eager to take the rest, as antibiotics are not harmless. But I also do not want to risk developing resistant bacteria or similar issues. What would you recommend? I asked again if I should continue for 5 days, and he said yes. Should I follow his instructions, even if there are tablets left over? Thank you very much!

Dear inquirer, you can stop if you have no signs of inflammation. The recommendation of your doctor is crucial. Regards Welsch
