thrombosis

Today, during a 2-hour flight, I started experiencing pain in my calf after one hour and my foot began to rub. The pulling sensation in my leg has persisted for several hours and is now radiating into my thigh. Could this be a case of thrombosis?

Dear questioner,

Pain in the leg after a flight is always suspicious of thrombosis. The only way to be sure is to exclude it using ultrasound of the leg veins. I advise you to play it safe and have this clarified promptly in an emergency room. All external signs are unfortunately too unreliable in this case, so I have to give you this advice so that you do not put yourself in danger of a dangerous pulmonary embolism.

Kind regards,
