CRP increases serum protein electrophoresis

My CRP is at 0.79 mg/dl, so it is slightly elevated.

Total protein is okay.

Albumin is relatively low at 54.7
Alpha 1 globulin is relatively high at 5.9
Alpha 2 globulin is relatively high at 12.3
Beta globulin is relatively high at 13.5
Gamma globulin is okay.

The absolute values are all okay.

The values were elevated because I have joint pain repeatedly. Three months ago, only the CRP was measured, which was 10.4 mg/l at that time.
Since I will not see my doctor again for two weeks and I am worried, I would like to ask here if these values are indeed concerning and how I should proceed in finding out more.

Additional values were measured, but I cannot list them all here. They were okay.

Dr. med. Frauke Gehring

Good morning,

These values indicate an acute inflammation that appears to occur in waves. Unfortunately, you have not provided your age or gender, making it difficult to make a definitive diagnosis. A rheumatic disease is a possibility. However, these values are not cause for concern as the CRP levels have returned to normal. It is likely that there is an inflammatory condition present rather than a malignancy.

All the best!

Sincerely, Dr. Höllering
