Belching and stumbling in autumn

Hello! During a gastroscopy, I was diagnosed with chronic gastritis. I have to admit that I drink a lot of coffee and my diet is not particularly low in fat.

The major problem is that I often have very strong belching. I have a lot of air in my stomach. When I can't burp in company, I feel like the air is pressing on my chest all the way up to my throat, a very strange feeling. I also have heart palpitations, which improve with burping. The symptoms worsen especially in the evenings, often with stabbing and burning sensation in the chest.

I have already seen a cardiologist twice, one of which was in the hospital. I have always been told that I am healthy.

Additionally, I should mention that I have Hashimoto's thyroiditis.

What do you recommend regarding my symptoms?

Good morning,

The easiest, fastest, and safest way to solve your problem is to change your diet. Anything else will only bring little improvement.

You would do well with the so-called Mediterranean diet. Lots of vegetables and fish or lean meat. No heavy sauces. Coffee is not a problem if it is brewed coffee like espresso or cappuccino. Just please don't drink it on an empty stomach.

You will feel better quickly if you eat smaller portions and avoid carbonated drinks.

If you are not willing to change your diet, Renni or similar products from the pharmacy can help. But that is not a real solution.

Get well soon,
