"Breastfeeding" --- "Weaning"
My daughter gave birth three weeks ago. However, breastfeeding brought some problems. First, her nipples became inflamed (breastfeeding with shields) because my daughter has inverted nipples. Then, a breast infection with fever occurred, which was treated with penicillin. She was advised to only pump now, but it's not so easy (about 200 ml per day in the 3rd week), and now the actual problem arises: the other breast, which was not infected, became very hard. My daughter saw a doctor, who diagnosed a cyst on the breast and drained about 60 ml of yellow-greenish secretion, which according to him should not be pus, and was sent for testing (he couldn't explain it either). The breast milk is now "very" pink. The midwife recommended weaning, what should we do now? Wait for the test results? OR wean with tablets? Thank you very much...
