Ask a doctor on the topic of General medicine

Reflux Reflux is a condition where stomach acid flows back into the esophagus, causing symptoms such as heartburn, chest pain, and difficulty swallowing. It can be treated with medications, lifestyle changes, and sometimes surgery.

Hello,
I have reflux disease. Last week I had to vomit (the doctor gave me omeprazole for reflux). Since I had to vomit, my chest hurts a little. What could that be?
Kind regards

Good day, when vomiting, strong muscle tension can cause blockages of ribs or muscle tension, which can cause chest pain.

Your general practitioner should examine the area where it hurts to confirm this. If necessary, local heat and chiropractic therapy can help.

Kind regards
