Wound after bleaching
Good evening. Yesterday, my teeth were bleached at the dentist with the ZOOM method. Later, when I was reading up on it, I realized that melanoma patients should not have this done. I am not a melanoma patient, but I am at risk for skin cancer. Unfortunately, the bleaching gel also got on my lip and a blister the size of a 5 cent coin formed due to the gel and UV lamp, which is now a wound. I am very shocked and afraid that a malignancy could form due to the wound and UV rays. Are my concerns justified? What happens with melanoma patients?
