Hello,
1. I have large pores on my face that quickly get clogged and I would like to have a beautiful flawless (without pores) face. How can I achieve this? I grew up in a warm country and also received a lot of sunlight, which may be the cause. How can I also get rid of the deep wrinkles under my skin because of this? I am only 22 years old. I have had wrinkles since I was 15 and also have dry skin. 2. I have had a light spot at the hairline on my forehead for 2 years now... there are missing hairs and they do not grow back. I also lose a lot of hair the longer I let it grow, especially after showering. 3. However, my MAIN PROBLEM is that when I was 16 in Greece, I had my nose pierced and since then there has been a dark spot. The hole keeps closing up. I have had my nose pierced up to 3 times now over long periods of time and it never fully heals, the hole keeps closing up. I have such intense pain when piercing, putting the piercing in and out, moving it etc.... there is always a sharp pain from the right nostril into the right eye. I really want to have a piercing there and I want to get rid of the dark spot. What can I do??? I hope you can help me with all these problems and give advice.
Thank you and best regards.
Regarding the large pores: This is a matter of predisposition and unfortunately cannot really be influenced, neither with expensive cosmetics nor with masks, etc. However, it is often assumed that such skin is also oily, and the blockages are often treated with harsh, drying agents, which do not lead to success and usually only make things worse. Skin needs enough fat as protection against heat and cold. If you keep removing the fat, the skin will react by producing more fat. A different skincare routine could potentially improve the situation.
2. You should have this looked at by a dermatologist. It is most likely also genetic, but can potentially be influenced - after a diagnosis.
3. Based on your description, you were pierced in an area where a skin nerve passes through, which is irritated by the piercing and causes the pain. The piercing in this location may continue to hurt under these circumstances.
The dark spot will probably not go away on its own, as it has been there for 6 years now. As for how it originated, I can only speculate - possibly a so-called dirty tattoo during the piercing, or possibly bleeding that led to iron deposits in the skin.
You can try to sand down this spot, but it will only succeed if it is not too deep. If it is quite small, you may also be able to punch it out, but this may leave a scar.
I'm sorry I don't have better news.
Sincerely,
Dr. Schaaf
