Skin in the intimate area totally confused
Hello. I am currently very desperate. I have had complaints in the intimate area since April. First fungus, then the mucosa did not heal. I have been prescribed various creams and ointments. Finally an estrogen cream that I should apply to the outer pubic area. The skin is now completely overwhelmed. I have stopped all creams and once again tried a ceramide-containing cream with shea butter for the intimate area. This has now brought it to a head. I have been washing my skin with water and no cream for a week now. But my skin is now extremely oily there. As if I were oiling it with oil. If I let air in, it goes away, if I put something on, the film is immediately back. The skin is not extremely red now but feels very uncomfortable. My dermatologist is on vacation, my gynecologist wanted to prescribe me a fungus cream, even though I definitely don't have one. Is this now a worsening of the symptoms and will the skin barrier then rebuild itself? Am I doing it right by not using cream? I could really use some advice. This is now also psychologically very burdensome for me.
