self-dissolving threads / circumcision
Hello,
I was circumcised on Thursday, September 23, 2010 at the age of 30. The circumcision was done on an outpatient basis under local anesthesia.
According to my doctor, the wound looks very good and surprisingly is already closed after 1 week. The wound is not yet stable enough to withstand stress, according to the doctor. I have noticed that I have developed a strong lymphedema that extends over the entire penis.
The bruises have already receded and are no longer visible. The wound was sewn with about 12 stitches. The thread was black, as far as I can tell, and is supposed to dissolve on its own.
My question now is how long this will take (according to my doctor, he was no longer allowed to use Cutgum because of BSE).
Furthermore, I have noticed that the thread at the point where the frenulum used to be has already changed from black to light grey. Is this a sign that it is starting to dissolve?
What can I do to speed up the dissolution process?
What is also worrying me is that my glans has started to peel, meaning the upper layer of skin is slowly dying off.
According to my doctor, I should not use cream or chamomile baths anymore as this could soften the wound. What do you recommend?
Thank you for your response.
