Medication Monuril 3000

I was at my general practitioner yesterday as I was suffering from a urinary tract infection. She prescribed me Monuril 3000, a single dose. She also advised me to drink as much as possible.

However, the package insert of the medication now states that during the treatment, one should only consume the normal amount of fluids, which is 1.5 - 2 liters. How long does the "treatment" last? Can I start drinking more today?

Furthermore, I have had diarrhea since this morning, probably a side effect. One also needs to drink a lot in that case. I am now very uncertain and of course, this happens on the weekend when one cannot reach anyone.

I would greatly appreciate a response.

Dear inquirer, if the symptoms of the bladder infection are gone, you do not need to drink a lot because of it. The treatment is then completed. Regards, C. Welsch.
